In the heart of the majestic Atlas Mountains, on the northern foothills of the mighty mount  Toubkal, you will ride miles and miles of selected  single track trails. Short 4x4 transfer will lead you the higher plateaus, ridges or passes so as to  enjoy the long descents on fast running to technical single tracks. You will be driven  to unique spots to ride where  others wouldn't go! This part of the Atlas hides an amazing  network of mule paths and trails, you will discover the magic of the Berber Land, picturesque  Berber villages and remote valleys. An epic all mountain / enduro  bike, an authentic ride  where  you will experience the Berber hospitality, amazing landscapes and  certainly strong  "thrills" ... 

Day 1

High Atlas Singletrack mountain bike day

Your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and head south to the Atlas Mountains. After the Ourika Valley, the road winds up to the high plateaus below the ski resort of Oukaimden at 2500m. Bike preparation and start our day on a side jeep track to the head of the first single track. The first section is technical on scree mule trail leading us to a superb valley. The villagers are always amazed to see bikers on their trails. Another hill side jeep track section before an easy climb to the pass to start an unforgettable singletrack decent on a variety of terrain through a pin forest. We reach the village of Tacht where we will be welcomed in a Berber family for a rewarding lunch. After a deserved rest, we’re off again. A short warm up of  3km and start another incredible singletrack on a slate grippy crest! The stage ends on the plains where we meet our 4x4 for a short shuttle to Marrakech, end of our service near your hotel

Good to know

This tour is available for private groups only, the tour can start with 2 participants. We can offer a personalized program for bigger groups or bikers who wish a more challanging ride or any specific requests.

The Area

This tour starts 65 km south of Oukaimden (Ski resort) deep in the Atlas Mountains at 2450m above sea level!

Your Guide

A Moroccan mountain bike, english speaking, guide who will meet you at your hotel and stay with you the whole day. Before the mountain bike stage, he will give you a briefing about safety and the use of your bike. All along the day, he will give you explanations about the traversed area and the way of life of the local population. He can also assit you in case of injury or mechanic issues on your bike.

Your Bike

An All Mountain full suspension aluminium bike, in a perfect working condition. Your bike will come with a helmet, knees/elbow protections and standard pedals. Id you use SPD pedals, please let us know upon booking.

The food

You won't have to worry on food or drink, we take care of everything. Mineral water will be supplied all day with a mix of dry fruits to refuel. For lunch we will organize an authentic stop at a Berber family house in the middle of a mountain village.

Assistance

You will have a partial vehicl back up during this mountain bike day tour. A 4X4 vehicle, with a bike rack, will do the shuttle to the top of the plateau, meet you at lunch and at the end of the mtb stage in the Ourika Valley.
